If you ever need to relax, share your experiences and meditate, we invite you to the Beginner's Mind Temple, the City Center. Following the Soto Zen tradition, the City Center was opened in 1969 by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. We invite you to talks, daily meditation, classes, workshops and residential student programs.

Only an experimented master can initiate you into the secrets of Zen meditation. For an introductory session, feel free to visit us on Saturday, at 8:45. The address is 300 Page Street.

Starting with 2004, the City Center has introduced a scholarship fund. The City Center (Zen Center) also offers residents and visitors a library and a bookstore on the first floor.If you wish to organize a class or a meeting, you can do it in our Parlor Room or Sun Room. We can also prepare vegetarian meals for you. If you wish to stay at the City Center and join our daily program, you can choose one of our 6 comfortable rooms.The Beginner's Mind Temple is open to general public Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 4 pm. On Saturday, the Beginner's Mind Temple welcomes you from 9 am to noon.
