For people interested in Russian art and culture, the Museum of Russian Culture has prepared several special exhibits. Many Russian artists have immigrated in the west. The Museum of Russian Culture offers you precious information about their lives, works and artistic achievements.
The museum is most interesting to historians, since it offers documents and other important objects destroyed by communists in 1917, during the Russian Revolution. The archives of the Tsarist Russian Consulate in China are also exhibited at the museum.
The Museum of Russian Culture is located on the fourth floor of the Russian Center of San Francisco and is open on Saturdays, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Also on the fourth floor you’ll find the Russian Life daily newspaper and the Russian library, open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Here you’ll find masterpieces written by Pushkin, Suteev, Erskov and many other renowned authors. The library also includes 500 books of children literature.
